Where is the academy located?

Elan Make-up Academy's physical address is 1921½ Greenville Avenue, Studio B, Dallas, TX.  We are located on Greenville Avenue just south of the Arcadia Theater. Studio 1921½ is on the second floor above Pipe Dreams and the UK World Shop.  You can contact us at 214.370.3333 or info@elanmakeup.com.

Are you licensed by the state?

The Texas Workforce Commission regulates all activities of classes, workshops, and seminars that take place within Texas.  We have gone through the proper channels to operate under TWC standards.  No license is given to operate under our status.

If I take all the classes, will I be a certified make-up artist?

You will receive a certificate of completion for each class taken.  Because we do not administer tests or require homework, no certification is given.  There is no standard regulation of make-up artists nationwide.  In this industry, a certificate does not mean much; your portfolio will speak for you and is what will get you jobs.
