Elan Makeup Studio is committed to training beginners and trained cosmetologists in the art of makeup artistry. Our Tier One Course is a demonstration and hands-on workshop. This intensive course teaches you the correct tools and application techniques for custom blending foundations, powders, acne coverage and the principles of highlighting and contouring face shapes. Discuss the importance of color theory, eye shapes, brow shapes, liner application and much more. Create a day natural look and make it into a sexy smokey eye or a retro-glam style.
Airbrush makeup is a highly requested service in all areas of the makeup industry, learn basic application, cleaning your machine and how to cover tattoos.
Tools required: Professional 10-piece minimum brush set.
Tools provided: A professional makeup kit is provided. A student workbook is given to each for reference and notes.
Students receive a certificate after completion of the course.

Elan Makeup Academy Tier Two Course is a demonstration and hands on workshop specializing in Bridal, Print, TV, Film, Commercial Work and Entrepreneurship.
This advanced course discusses the psychology of a bride, what to expect from your client, the importance of primers and sealers, lash application & much more.
Print, Television, Film and Commercial Work are just a few ways a professional artist can work in this industry. We discuss the basics of what to expect on set, artist roles and expectations. Students learn correct techniques for application on men, children and stage makeup. Get you started as a professional freelance makeup artist by learning how to build your kit, prep for jobs, working with an agency, pay structures, contracts and taxes.

Elan Makeup Academy courses are designed enhance the necessary skills to pursue many different fields of makeup by combining theory and demonstrations. Each workshop is designed to make the student proficient in beauty and corrective techniques in order to further advance their careers. Each course includes a reference guide containing all information covered during class.

Lead Instructor
Owner, Professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist. Mrs. Brown is the Lead Sr. Artist with Elan Makeup Studio. With over 23 years of experience in the industry and a background in Production and Talent Booking, Special Effects Makeup and Airbrush Art, she is knowledgeable in all facets of make-up application. Her areas of expertise are in production/video, education, bridal, events and destination events. Anita has received training and mentoring from some of the best artists in Los Angeles, Dallas and the Houston area. Sharing the knowledge to her staff and students are her passion.
Mayra Lopez
Lead Instructor
Director of Education, Professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist, Sr. Instructor. Ms. Lopez’s passion for makeup artistry lead her to attend Elan Makeup Academy in 2008. She is now the bi-lingual Director of Education for Elan Makeup Academy. Ms. Lopez keeps up with current trends with continued education and specializes in airbrush makeup, Prom, Beauty, Quinceaneras and hair design. She enjoys spending time with her new fiancé in Dallas and travels as often as possible.
Nicole Estill
Lead Instructor
Sr. Instructor, Professional Makeup Artist, Hair Stylist, Airbrush Art, Special Effects and Print and Production specialist. Ms. Estill joined Elan Makeup Studio early 2007. She adds 12+ of experience to our Professional Team in the hair and makeup industry. Nicole has worked and trained with Toni & Guy and currently is one of the Sr. Instructor her at Elan Makeup Academy. Her passion in music and art lead her to a successful career in Professional Makeup Artistry and currently is the Print, TV, Commercial, Runway, Fashion, Bridal and Special Effects lead artists at Elan Makeup Studio.
Cassandra Marques
Lead Instructor
Sr. Instructor, Professional Makeup Artist, Hair Stylist. Ms. Marques earned her bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology while freelancing as a make-up artist in New York City. Cassandra adds several years of experience to our team, having trained and worked with a long list of high-profile makeup companies and fashion houses. Cassandra specializes in makeup and styling for photography, film, runway and bridal and her passion for teaching shines through every course she instructs.
